Helicopter chases Corvette ZR1 for Top Gear Korea. Ends up crashing.

| Corvettes For Sale | April 23, 2013

Helicopter-Crash

Event? A drag race. The contestants? A 2014 New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray versus an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The winner? Astonishingly the Corvette Stingray was able to pull out the win. Now hold on, did we just wrap up this article just like that? Why didn’t I go into the details of the race and make it seem more intense? After all, it’s not everyday we see a car drag race a helicopter up in the air. You’d think an event like that would deserve more quality content out of a writer like me. Well you’re right but amazingly enough, the drag race wasn’t the highlight of this event.

First, we’d like to thank Korea’s Top Gear for this awesome idea of pitting a modern helicopter against America’s beloved muscle car, the 2014 Corvette For Sale. The Korean version depicts exactly what the British original is about, which is putting the spotlight on fantastic cars and placing them in impeccable situations while some intensely charismatic host puts us on the edge of our seats. This event definitely passes those standards. Did the event go as planned. In a way yes as the Stingray did put on quite a show. But it’s what happened after the drag race that caught everybody off guard. It was so bizarre that I do not know the words to describe what exactly happened. In plain and simple English, somehow the helicopter crashed into dirt while appearing to do some sort of aerial exhibition trick. Probably in hopes of retaining some pride after being thoroughly beaten by a land vehicle. The reason I can joke like that is because miraculously no one was injured. Even the pilot got out of there in one piece. Watch the video below to witness the strange incident.

2013 Corvette ZR1 takes on 1967 Lotus 49!

| Corvettes For Sale | April 9, 2013

2013-Vette-vs-Lotus-49

The 1967 Lotus 49. Need I say more? This machine is probably the most spectacular Formula 1 race car ever built. It’s performance and design can be considered as the blueprint for all racing cars that were built after it. This 1967 model is so highly regarded that even today, auto makers pit their most coveted race car creations against it. So it’s not just us putting the Lotus 49 on top of a pedestal, it’s the whole auto making industry.

In today’s feature story, we are about to witness the Lotus 49 take on America’s most beloved muscle car, the 2013 Used Corvette For Sale ZR1. The man driving the Lotus 49 in the picture above is non other than the only American Formula 1 Test Driver, Alexander Rossi. He’ll be trying to see if he can steer the 46 year old Lotus to victory against one of today’s most monstrous cars. Well at least that was one of the objectives of this. Our main concern here really was to see how car we have come from 1967. And there isn’t a better place to do this test than our very first F1 Race Circuit, The Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

Why did we choose the ZR1 to be pitted against the Lotus? Simple because the Corvette For Sale ZR1 is the first American car that was able to measure up to those international one’s in it’s class. Yes it’s not the priciest nor is it prettiest, but it’s the best homemade race car in our books.

Now the ZR1 and the Lotus didn’t race each other in the track as we only had 1 professional  F1 test driver. Pitting a pro driver against a pro F1 test driver is always a landslide victory for the F1 test driver. He may be just a F1 test driver, but a lot of skill is needed to even get yourself buy an F1 Team. Plus, according to him, he won’t be a test driver for long. So what happened was, we let Alexander Rossi drive both the Lotus and the 2013 Corvette ZR1 to compare which had the best lap times. At the end of the day, the Lotus clocked in 2:17.51 , while the ZR1 finished with a time of 2:20.65. A 4 sec Lotus victory. But don’t consider this a loss for the ZR1 either. According to some data we were able to pull out, we saw the Lotus accelerating harder out of corners and hitting its top speed earlier on each straight. Both get braked at the same speed and at identical distances, plus mid corner speeds were neck to neck. So very very little indeed separated the outing Corvette ZR1 to the ultimate F1 Race Car of 1967. It may be 46 years ago, but F1 car standards are not something that is easily met.

Anyway, now that our curiosity has been satisfied, we are hoping plans for a Mustang For Sale vs the 1967 Lotus 49 will push through soon.

Jay’s Stingray! C7 Corvette added to Jay Leno’s car collection.

| Corvettes For Sale | March 30, 2013

Jay-Stingray

Jay Leno has been known to be somewhat of a car enthusiast as he’s been collecting cars for some time now. I mean, the guy has a website that features some of his Used Ford Mustangs, Used Dodge Vipers, Used Porsche For Sale and many more. So when word got out that one of the New Corvette Stingray’s found a new home in Jay Leno’s garage, we didn’t really get caught off guard. But in the photo above, he was actually spotted at Brown’s Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. He doesn’t drive the car or anything like that, but instead he is given an 11 minute introduction of America’s newest sportscar that has captured many headlines, the 2014 C7 Chevrolet Corvettes For Sale.

This introduction was given by GM’s head designer Ed Welburn, the very same person who recently bought an array of classic Corvette’s to Jay’s California Compound. Right now, America is obviously going through the motions of being insanely in love with the Stingray, which now features 450 horsepower and 450 pounds of torque. Along with those motions though comes an honest opinion from majority of the public that the older Corvette had seats that were not really comfortable. In fact, some would say they weren’t even seats! Also, it was said that the reason why this was named “Stingray” was to do a way with people calling it a “Base Model”. Stingray sounds more cool it seems. And Welburn also explains what the term Dashboard really means as he points out it gets misinterpreted a lot. You can see it all on the video below.

Geneva Debuts 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

| Corvettes For Sale | March 30, 2013

Stinray-Geneva

With all the buzz that has been swirling around Chevrolet’s latest revamped model of the Corvette For Sale, the world is finally settling down as their cravings have been somewhat satisfied. And after that Detroit Auto Show that prominently featured the highly anticipated debut of the New Stingray 2014, most people have already turned the page and are looking forward to other anticipated releases. To us, this might be a major reason as to why Chevrolet has decided to unfold the next chapter of the C7 story at the Geneva Motor Show. A little bit surprising as this is an American iconic car and we had some expectations that another New Corvette Stingray reveal might have taken place at either New York or Chicago. Looks like a stunt to make locals crave for the Stingray once more if you ask me.

Based on the news released by Autoweek though, the reason the Geneva Auto Show has been targeted by GM is primarily to boost it’s export numbers. And really why not. The C7 has been carefully engineered to compete with the worlds best of sports cars. So showing it off in Geneva can be regarded as a slick move by GM. Some car enthusiasts aren’t too surprised with this move because if memory serves me faithfully, the C6 convertible Used Corvette was also revealed in Geneva back in 2004.

Information about a C7 Corvette convertible are slim at best, but we fully expect to see the likes of a 6.2L V8 with a choice of either six speed or seven speed automatic. We’ve heard that prototype models have been spotted sporting a cloth convertible roof that seem to be similar to that of the Convertible Camaro For Sale.

Production is expected to ramp up this August. Autoweek also estimates that the convertible will follow around three months later. So we fully expect to get clearer specs on what the convertible will offer in the coming weeks / months.

Highlights from Barrett-Jackson’s big auction

| Corvettes For Sale | March 18, 2013

Corvette-Stingray-Barrett-Jackson

If you haven’t heard yet, the Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction for 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona has already taken place a couple of months ago. Our reaction to the event? Absolute success! With cars being sold for unbelievable prices, it’s like the people who attended were completely oblivious to the fact that our economy is somewhat still struggling at the moment. Either that or they just have a ton of cash stashed somewhere. The ultimate car that really caught the attention of the crowd was the first ever produced 2014 New Corvette For Sale. Anyway, in case you haven’t heard any news about this two day event, allow me to highlight the pinnacle points.

Highlight 1 : After all was said and done, 1,343 cars were sold to their respective highest bidder. That right there is the definition of a successful event.

Highlight 2 : The result of those 1,343 cars being sold was an very impressive $108,766,069 in gross sales. That number is 17% higher than what they were able to haul in during 2012.

Highlight 3 : 300,000 were accounted for in attendance. That’s a car crazy party right there.

Highlight 4 : We’re all New Corvette lovers over here no doubt, but even I was caught with my mouth wide open when I saw the 1966 Batmobile put up for auction. It ended up being the most expensive car to be auctioned at $4.62 million!

Highlight 5 :  The limited edition COPO Camaro For Sale was also put up for auction. Got sold for a cool $400,000.

Highlight 6 : The first manufactured Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was able to go for a handsome $1.1M

Highlight 7 : The top 10 car sales were able to rack up at least $1M!

So in a nutshell, the event was legendary.

Boost Gauge seen on 2014 C7 Corvette!

| Corvettes For Sale | March 18, 2013

C7-Corvette-Boost-Gauge

That image up there, that is a classic example of how a simple picture can say a thousand different words. But the three most prominent that I’m sure all of us are thinking right now is this. Supercharged C7 Corvette!

In case you’re wondering, this was taken during the C7 Corvette For Sale debut launch in Geneva. The interesting thing that happened during this photoshoot is that the purpose of this image was not to highlight the fact that it has a boost gauge. That was never initially noticed. It was only when the photo’s were carefully studied after the photoshoot that it was noticed. So luck did have it’s role here. If you look closely to the left of the tachometer in the Stingray’s TFT Display, you will see that it features an icon of two rotor vanes interlocking. And interestingly enough, that icon to us seems to very similar to the twin four-lobe rotor setup used in the C6 ZR1′s supercharged LS9 V-8 engine.

During that day though, GM didn’t allow anyone to take a peek under the hood, so we can’t actually give you guys 100% confirmation of a real blower. But when put into prospective that the New Corvette  on display that day was just the base model, it makes us think that the presence of this gauge was just for future powertrain options. With the official public release though of the base model Stingray, one would think that Chevrolet would give us a slight idea of what’s to come for the more high end trims. However, it seems that a lot of secrecy is still in motion as nothing but rumors are currently in circulation with regards to that matter. Some of the rumors we’ve been hearing is turbocharged and supercharged V8, twin turbocharged V6 and a naturally aspired V8 has also entered the realm of speculation. Whatever they decide though, one thing is for sure. They’re going to want to give Ford’s Mustang For Sale a hard time in keeping up.

First manufactured Corvette Stingray 2014 Auctioned for $1.1 Million at Barrett-Jackson

| Corvettes For Sale | March 13, 2013

First-Auctioned-Stingray

When Chevrolet officially showcased the New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2014, most car enthusiasts knew that an auction for the first the first one produced was likely imminent. Well, that auction day has come and it was held by non other than Barrett Jackson. It was no surprise really as Barrett Jackson has a long and proud history with regards to Corvettes For Sale. For example, back in 2008, the new Corvette ZL1 was auctioned off and that event earned an easy $1m Dollars in revenue. Another shining example is the first ever 2013 Corvette Convertible 427, which received a handsome bid of $600K.

And now for 2013, they made an even bigger splash by putting up for auction the very car we all drooled over during the Detroit Auto Show, namely the Stingray. Bidders were able to get up close to the car they were hoping to win during bidding session. But this was a new generation Corvette we’re talking about, so everyone knew the price was going to be incredibly high. And to spice things up, the winning bidder will get the freedom to choose what color and options they want their Stingray to have. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if it had all everything on it, would you?

So after the bidding was said and done, we finally knew what the first ever manufactured new generation Corvette was worth to the public. It was sold for an incredible $1.1M and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to benefit College for Creative Studies. A very successful event for everyone indeed. Well, except those that lost the bid of course.

The Iconic Corvette Stingray

| Corvettes For Sale | March 3, 2013

Showroom-Corvette

If you’re wondering why we’re still writing about Chevrolet’s latest masterpiece, then you really need a brief history lesson. For more than half a century, the Used Corvette for Sale has been unanimously put up on a pedestal as America’s pride and glory when it comes to performance. So when Chevrolet showcased the new model, codenamed Stingray, it’s only natural that so much attention will be drawn to it by both the public and the media. But of-course, as a reader, you’d like some new information instead of reading the same things over and over again, and that’s what we have. Plus we’ll also be treating you to a 30+minute video all about the Stingray.

Now we were all taught by our parents that looks aren’t everything. While that may hold true to many things in life, it certainly doesn’t apply at all when it comes our beloved Corvette. The previous generations Corvette for Sale were known for many good things but it’s interior definitely did not stand out. Well it did, but not in a good way. With the stingray, one can tell that it’s all about evolution. Though the body cast of the C6 and C7 seem to be eerily similar, the stingray does have more pronounced creases, more vents (not to mention bigger ones), a more aggressive front fascia and headlights. Chevrolet says that the goal with this design is not only to spell Corvette, but also depict a fresh image of it without losing it’s overall feel.

The stingray also offers it’s buyers a sophisticated Gen V 6.2L Pushrod V8 small block. It also spins a rear mounted trans-axle through an aluminum torque tube. Nicknamed the LT1, GM estimates this engine to product 450 HP and 450 lb-ft in base form. What we love about that is it makes this generations Corvette have the strongest base model to date. None of the previous generations base model had anything close to that. Early predictions has the Stingray clocking a time of 4 seconds or less for the 0 – 60 range. What’s also standard across all models is Cylinder deactivation (including the manual transmission models). And the best part is, Chevy announced that the C7 will get better mileage than the C6′s 26mpg EPA Highway. Below is the video I mentioned earlier.

Chevrolet’s 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray so good, we need to look at it again!

| Corvettes For Sale | March 3, 2013

Stingray2

From our previous post, we’ve given you a quick introduction of the new Chevrolet C7 Corvette for Sale, codenamed Stingray. Now, we’d like to give it even more exposure as we were able to get up close to the Chevrolet stand over at the recent Detroit Auto Show. Being there, we discovered that the C7 really can make it’s presence felt just by sitting pretty. If this were some other car, I would be surprised, but since everyone was really curious how the new generation Corvette was going to look like, no one was at awe when they found all the people gathering to check it out.

When gazing upon this beauty and beasty machine, one will quickly realize that it is actually smaller when compared to previous generation corvettes. What might have heavily attributed to this is it’s more refined side surface and a less rounded overall body build. And another aspect that really impressed us here is the shrink wrap appearance it has despite having a longer wheelbase. That’s a good thing in case you’re wondering.

Now, the rear part of the C7 was something that we felt we would have a hard time adjusting to and we did, but it may not be for the reason most of you think. The most telling rear difference between the C7 and it’s older counterparts is it’s tail lamps. The design has been totally revamped and is a bold statement that this is the new generation. Indirect lighting and deep mounted fixtures are a compelling sight and the functional vents surrounding them is something one doesn’t see everyday. But these we’re alright. The thing we had a hard time dealing with is the centered quad exhaust outlets. I mean, it’s the only thing circular about the Corvette. It would be nice if they were squared out a bit to maybe mimic the tail lights. That would be an awesome sight. Hopefully they’ll have that in store for the future Z06 or ZR1.

Moving on to the interior. This part is something we are most happy about. Even if you were able to just catch a glimpse, you can already tell that this interior is light years ahead of past models. It’s an interior design that I hope will be featured on a New Camaro for Sale one day. Anyway, we’ll be getting a smaller wheel diameter, a sexier driver oriented center stack and an innovative passenger side climate control underneath the air vent.

And the most important aspect of all is performance. The new LT1 small block and the recent metrics released look incredibly spectacular. From 450 Horsepower and another 450 pound of torque to its 0 – 60 mph sprint of just under 4 seconds! The C6 is considered to be a bargain in my book and if the pricing of the c7 is relatively similar to that, this would be the best sports car deal one could ever make.

2013 Dusk Chevrolet Camaro

| Corvettes For Sale | March 3, 2013

Camaro-Dusk-Edition

It seems that the Mayan Prophecy was just a misinterpreted calendar reading as we are all officially in the year 2013. Personally, I knew all along we would make it 2013 smoothly because of all the good things scheduled to happen. We have the 2013 NBA All Star Game, The Playoffs, The next episode of Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries, and the best of all, Chevrolet will finally be unveiling the Dusk Edition for the 2013 Camaro For Sale. This will be available for both the coupe and the convertible models.

Now what exactly does this Dusk edition of the Camaro have in store for us? Well, like many of you, the first change I thought about was body paint related so let’s start with that. The 2013 New Camaro For Sale Dusk Edition will get coated in an eye popping Blue Ray Metallic paint, a new color entry for Chevrolet. And to sweeten the deal, it will also get awesome Halo HID headlights, beautiful 21 inch bright silver painted aluminum rims and heat resistant tires. These features come standard in the coupe and convertible. The only difference between the two is that the convertible gets a blue cloth top.

We will also see some noticeable changes in the Camaro’s interior such as Majove leather covered seats with yellow stitches, a never before seen shift knob, new steering wheel and new arm rests. Whats more is that the instrument panel will also be covered in the same material as the seats, providing a more luxurious feel for the car. If you ask me, this is something that the Used Corvettes For Sale could use.

If this Dusk edition sounds like a great catch for you, then you can actually own one yourself as it comes along an MSRP of $5995! Happy New Year!

The 2014 Corvette Stingray!

| Corvettes For Sale | January 28, 2013

Stingray-Corvette

When people talk about the Used Corvettes For Sale, they already know exactly what they’re getting. A car that boasts top class performance generation after generation and when looked at carefully, provides the most with the price tag it has when compared to it’s competitors. So why then is it not the top grossing car sales throughout the world. Simply because the general public knows that though the engine power is exceptional, it’s interior has been less than desirable. So in short, the Corvette features awesome performance and horrible interior materials and design. Now, after 6 generations, it seems Chevrolet has finally heeded to the wants of the people as we’re finally being treated to it’s seventh generation model, code named Stingray. Very splashy indeed.

The thing that has impressed us here so far is that all models of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will get the aluminum frame, a feature which was usually prominent only on high end performance models. Also, this 2014 Corvette For Sale has a chassis constructed of 5 sections using hydro-formed aluminum, cast aluminum and extruded aluminum, all of which is designed based on its strength and stiffness. That is much lighten when compared to what the Corvette had in the past, which is two uniformly thick, hydro-formed rails. The outcome is a whooping 99 pound reduction to it’s weight and a 57% increase in strength stiffness. Curb weight should probably stay the same after accounting for other changes.

Turning our attention to the exterior, we are also treated to a redesigned suspension hardware with aluminum control arms coupled with stiffer links, knuckles and bushing. The front and rear cradles are now also made up of hollow cast aluminum with stiffer joint points for suspension. By now you probably are getting  the idea with which Chevrolet decided to go with their 7th Gen Corvette. Lighter frame using aluminum materials and stiffer strength. Another impressive feature that is available on all models are the Bilstein shocks, which can be upsized on the Z51 performance model.

On the wheels, we still have the Brembo brakes which appear to be smaller in diameter, but seems to perform even better as it boasts 35% more swept area thanks to it’s larger pads. The Z51 has larger front discs with 6% more swept area than todays Grand Sport Model. Chevy also claims this Stingray will halt at 11 feet shorter than previous models. This puts its 60-0 mph braking comparable with that of todays ZR1, marked at 94 feet. This brake upgrade is something the Camaros For Sale can definitely use!

With regards to it’s price, no official release has been annouced, but they claim that if you could afford their older model, then you can definitely afford this one!

C7 Corvette Official Engine. The LT1 Small Block V8 6.2L

| Corvettes For Sale | January 14, 2013

Corvette-C7-LT1-V8

Up to this point, all we have heard are rumors about the new engine the 2014 Corvette For Sale will be featuring. And though those sources of information have proven to be a reliable, nothing compares to official news coming straight from the big boys over at Chevrolet. That’s why I am very hyped to write this entry today as I do have concrete news to share about this new engine.

After a long wait, Chevrolet has finally revealed most of the details pertaining to its 5th generation small block V8 engine, or as commonly referred to as the LT1. The goal with which this engine is tagged with is to make the New Corvette extremely competitive within it’s class range. Not exactly breaking news, but again, everything being stated by Chevrolet is worth reporting. They are expecting this 5th gen engine to squeeze out numbers around 450 horsepower, 450 pound feet of torque and a time of 4 seconds when going from 0 – 60 mph when installed on the Corvette. So now the question is exactly how does that match up with the engine it is bound to replace, namely the 6.2L LS3. Here are the answers. The LT1 not only has a higher output of 20 more Horsepower and 26 pounds of torque, but it’s torque brings a lot to the table when up against that of the 7.0L LS7, which is the heart and soul of the Z06.

However, in today’s age, having huge engine power is not enough to sell. And for that reason, the engineers over at Chevy have also kept fuel economy at the back of their minds. It’s for that reason that makes the Corvette and the Camaro For Sale huge attractions to the sports car enthusiasts. Now, in order to save as much fuel as possible, this 5th gen V8 engine will be equipped with cylinder deactivation which should enable it to go at least 26 miles per gallon on the highway. And to boot, the LT1 will also get the benefits of having the latest technology available such as direct injection continuously variable valve technology and a relatively high 11.5:1 compression ratio. Put into retrospect that it’s weight is 40 pounds lighter and 4 inches shorter than the 4.4 twin turbo V8 by BMW, and it looks like the Corvette has winning formula.

Tours Suspended in Bowling Green for Next-Gen Corvette

| Corvettes For Sale | December 15, 2012

If you were contemplating about whether or not to visit the Corvette For Sale assembly plant located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, think no more. According to Detroit News, it seems that the plant has been shut down since September 14 in preparation for the manufacturing of the next generation C7 Corvette. At this point, we can only speculate till when their assembly line will be labeled top secret as no timeline has been established regarding all this.

Seems to me Chevrolet is very intent in keeping everything indoors when it comes to their prized marketing car. Usually, when you have a public figure trying to hide a particular from the public’s eyes, something usually gives and a lot of that particular is exposed before our naked eyes. In this case, the New Corvette C7 has been a subject of interest for a very long time now and yet we can only guess how the final design is going to come out. Despite all of the best efforts from reputable spy photographers, we still have nothing solid about this Corvette. The best thing we were able to pull out from the spy shots was a good look of its front fascia, one that looks a bit similar to the Camaro For Sale. Over time we have accumulated so many spy shots and videos as well, but again, nothing really solid can be formed from them. But there is some good news to be had. It won’t be long now till the C7 Corvette gets officially released by Chevrolet and we can all say “I knew it was going to look like that”.

Missing Briggs Cunningham Le Mans Corvette Discovered

| Corvettes For Sale | November 29, 2012

You’d think un-discovered classic cars would be a dead breed by now with the way many people go about collecting cars as a hobby. It’s been about 40 years since car collection became a popular past time and these days even the most avid of collectors will tell you that all the cars that are worth collecting are already collected. Well to everyone’s surprise, another classic collectible car has surfaced out.

It was first announced by Carlisle Events that the 1960 Briggs Cunningham Le Mans Corvette was discovered just sitting in a Florida warehouse. According to them, its current state suggests that it has been neglected since at least 1970. It went on full display on August 24 where it had its background story featured and also revealed its new owner.

This Corvette For Sale was one of the three of its kind that took part at Le Mans in 1960, and the best part is this car placed in 1st and won the race. The other two Used Corvette For Sale were found not too long after the race, but the first placer instantly went missing after it was sold as a street car just after the race. And so that everyone can appreciate its original state, it was showcased in an “as is” state and did not undergo any sort of detailing job at all.

Whats astounding is this car may have remained unaccounted for had it not been for it’s owner doing some research on it’s VIN. The owner of the website that was used for research then took matters in his own hands by Carlisle co-founder Chip Miller. He is the proud owner of the third Corvette that took part in Le Mans and he is believe to broker the deal with the new owner. It is also believed that there are reunion plans to gather it’s team mates together for a historical pictorial.

Gen 5 Small Block V8 for C7 Corvette

| Corvettes For Sale | November 17, 2012

The first ever small block V-8 engine came out 60 years ago. Developed by then Chief Engineer Ed Cole, we have seen the steady progression of this engine type from a mere 4.3 Liter two barrel V-8 outputting 162 hp to what it is today, a monster on the edge of being god-like.

With that said, I bear exciting news for Corvette enthusiasts out there. It is official, GM will be releasing the New Corvette C7 with an all new 5th Generation small block V8 Engine and the hope is that this will be the best of its kind ever made. The first of this 5th generation engine will not only be released for the Corvette For Sale, but will also be installed on the upcoming New Camaro.

Some aspects of the 4th Generation will be passed on over to the 5th. We’ll be seeing similarities in the bore, the 6.2L Displacement, stroke, location of the camshaft and the height of the deck. The exciting new design with the 5th generation is the implementation of direct fuel injection, a first for pushrod gas engines. What this brings to the table is a higher compression ratio from 10.7 to 11.5:1. You’ll be feeling the difference for sure as this means more power, torque and best of all, fuel efficiency. The increase in compression however was intentionally limited so that they may maintain that the Corvette use premium fuel, but at the same time would not put a “required” tag on it. And like the 4th generation, the 5th will also have high upgrading potential like an additional piston displacement and will also have reserve stamina to allow pressurized induction.

No official numbers have been released yet in terms of what the C7 Corvette can do, mainly because the release date isn’t scheduled to be anytime soon. We are told to expect a minimum of 450 hp at around 6000rpm and maybe around 450 pounds of torque at 4000rpm.

C7 Chevrolet Corvette Fascia Sneak Peak!

| Corvettes For Sale | November 13, 2012

If you are a public figure, you can be assured no secret is safe from the prying eyes of the internet. No matter how hard you try to cover your tracks (both past and future), keeping something under wraps is too much of a daunting task to do. This is something Chevrolet has become very familiar with.

First, I’d like to tip my hat to GM for trying really hard to conceal every bit of information concerning the New Chevrolet Corvette C7. But those efforts were once again put to naught. According to automotive supplier Omega Tool corp., the leaked shot above depicts a rendering of the car’s front fascia along with the metal tooling that is used to put it together. The consensus is that the finalized model of this C7 Corvette For Sale will be released as a 2014 model.

Now I know that all the Corvettes have featured this sort of pointed front ever since the early 1960′s (just like the Camaro For Sale) and hence this isn’t really surprising news to anyone. But that won’t stop us from pouncing as we’ll take every insider news we can get. I’m sure you feel the same way. The sad news however is that there was actually a video that was posted on the internet and we weren’t fast enough to spot it. It must have been some sort of human error as it was taken out right after they discovered this shot was released.

South Korea gets Chevrolet Corvette

| Corvettes For Sale | November 5, 2012

Asian branded sports cars have become the most available to us globally than any other continental brands in the market today. All of us have seen in real life what Toyota, Mazda, Honda, etc have to offer. That’s more than I can say for Non-Asian brands, specially European one like the Porsche For Sale. So it is with pleasure that I announce an Asian country will be set to introduce an American sports car to their consumer base. A few months ago, South Koreans were finally given the luxury to own their very own Chevrolet Corvette For Sale from any of their local Chevy dealers. The reason General Motors has decided to export to South Korea is to achieve their goal which is to get more people to invest in their iconic monster car. It’s no secret that the New Corvette sales numbers here in United States have been steadily dropping over the years. Chevrolet hopes that this export strategy can help offset the sales drop here at home. What makes South Korea a viable target is because of the free trade agreement recently signed by the two countries.

This coupe model, which boasts a powerful engine that outputs 430 horsepower, has went on sale in South Korea since May 4, 2012. The base model has been priced at a reasonable 86.4 Million Won, which when converted to U.S. Dollar, is about $76.528. The anti-tariff provisions granted by the signed free trade agreement are not yet on place, however shipping rates and exchange rates are surprisingly low between the two countries, which gave General Motors all the more reason to target South Korea. The New Chevy Corvette will be the ninth model Chevrolet has to offer the Asian regions.

Final Chevrolet C6 Corvette model will get Night Race Blue plus New Wheels

| Corvettes For Sale | October 31, 2012

The C6 Corvette For Sale had an impressive run of seven years in the market when it replaced the C5 in late 2005. That span is admirably long in anybody’s book, but for a Corvette, it’s fairly standard. The year 2013 will mark the final year Chevrolet produces this 6th generation Corvette, or as widely known by majority of the people as the C6.

Saying that Chevrolet had a hard time giving the C6 a fresh new feel every year for seven years is an understatement. But amazingly they were able to pull it off thanks to the release of various C6 variants of the Used Corvette For Sale such as the ZR1 and Grandsport. Also, being able to do the little things such as adding more options, colors and accessories have really contributed to the lifespan of the C6. Personally, I can’t help but feel these additional options were already thought of in 2005, but decided to introduce it slowly so as to lengthen the longevity of the Corvette C6. And with that, Chevy will be introducing a new color scheme for the final C6 in 2013, namely the Night Race Blue, which to me is just a shade lighter than the renowned dark blue Dodge Vipers For Sale.

This Night Race Blue will be the Corvette’s third installment of the color blue as it already has the Supersonic Blue Metallic and the most recent Carlisele Blue Metallic. The Supersonic isn’t a free option though as you’d have to add $300 for it, and that’s just for the standard Corvette. The Carlisele option was introduced just last year for show car purposes at SEMA last year. This was done in celebration of the vette’s in that event at Pennsylvania, which seemingly attracted alot of Corvette owners at one place, in one time compared to any other event ever held. Sort of like a world record. Rumors have it that Chevy will not be producing the competition gray wheels with the 2013 C6, but instead showcase a black painted aluminum set, which to me will make it look even better. Looks to be like a promising send off for the C6.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Logo Released

| Corvettes For Sale | October 26, 2012

If you haven’t heard, Chevrolet has already set a release date for the seventh generation New Corvette. That date is scheduled to be on January 13, which will be the eve of the North American International Auto Show. According to multiple sources, a complete overhaul is to be expected so as to regain lost popularity, specially amongst younger buyers who tend to purchase overseas brands. The so called C7 Corvette for Sale, or better known internally as development code Y1XX, has been tagged by Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter as “a truly all-new Corvette“. In fact, the C7 Vette will only be carrying over 2 specific parts from the C6, namely the cabin air filter and the rear latch for the detachable roof panel. We’re also told to fully expect an entirely new exterior body, a complete redo of the interior that will make it feel more worth the price tag of a Corvette, a somewhat lighter chassis and of course, a more efficient engine and transmission. And to add the final touches to the complete makeover, Chevrolet has also decided that it is time to change the Corvette’s logo and thus showcased this new cross-flag on Thursday. From the way the logo looks, it really looks as though they are trying to make a connection between the Corvette and the young buyers in the market today. This really makes me wonder what exactly what do they have in store for Corvette’s little brother, the Camaro For Sale. I expect substantial upgrades for it as well so as the difference between the two doesn’t become too much.

A Chevrolet Spokesperson said on an e-mail that a 6 month gap will be present between the current C6 version and the all new 2014 C7. This means that manufacturing of the C6 version will stop early February to give way to the high volume production of the C7. The first batch of C7′s is scheduled to go off the line on June 30, which is exactly 60 years from when the first 1953 model was released. And its unveiling on mid January is also a memorable date as January 1953 marks the anniversary of the first Corvette, which was then regarded as a “dream car” concept. From that time to today, GM has built and sold an outstanding  1.5 million models, but annual sales have declined in the graph charts recently due to heavy competition from Europe and Asia. But with everything appearing to go their way with the C7, they hope to regain their once loyal customer base and show them that they are intent to being one step ahead of everyone else.

Burnout Test between Chevy Corvette Z06 Centennial and Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

| Corvettes For Sale | October 19, 2012

If an automaker was able to boast just 1 model of a 500 horsepower rear drive vehicle, they would be more than satisfied with that accomplishment alone. Reaching a point like that as an automaker would make them proud as that there is a clear edge over a lot of competition. And you’d think heavy weight General Motors would share my point of view. But alas the biggest of Detroit automakers does not and that’s why they manufacture cars like the Chevrolet Corvette For Sale (Z06 and ZR1), the Camaro For Sale and the Cadillac CTS-V, all of which are built to outrun anyone on the commercial freeway.

Now, where ever we are presented with cars equipped with massive horsepower, most of us think about drag racing and who would win. But today, we’re about to explore something a little more different, a burnout test! That’s right, we’re about to find out which one is the best suited for burnouts. And to help us out with that, the guys over at Inside Line decided to take two of GM’s 500 hp monsters, the Used Corvette For Sale (Z06 Centennial Edition) and the Cadillac CTS-V coupe, to the renowned Streets of Willow for their 5th episode of Burnout Super Test.

To find out which of the two was able to leave the longest stretch of rubber on the road, check out the video down below. On a sidenote, the Z06 Corvette Centennial Edition is the reigning champ of the burnout world.
